This will be in lieu of our Element Bible Study so we strongly encourage you to come especially as we share about our 44 Days of Vision experience with the whole church. 7/19 Sat - Military Veteran's Home
For our fourth service event, we will go the Military Veteran's Home to visit the war veterans and record their stories to give to them. This will be a unique opportunity to hear their war stories and to show our appreciation for what they have sacrificed for us. The meeting time is 8:30am promptly at NL. If it is more convenient that you sleepover at a teacher's house, please let your small group teacher know so that we can arrange housing.

7/13 & 7/20 Sun - Bake Sale & Stuffed Animals/Book Drive at Willard Middle School
We will have a bake sale on Sunday, 7/13 and 7/20 before service to raise money to buy nice gifts for the children at the UC Davis pediatric ward. Please remember to bring your baked goods on the days of the bake sale. We are still collecting stuffed animals and books that are in good condition for our pediatric ward visit. Since the actual visit is after our bible study, we'll meet at NL at noon (instead of 10am). Please let your parents know to pick you up at 9pm from NL. Please let your teacher know if you can participate.

6/27 Fri Sleepover at Teachers' Homes We will be kicking off the 30 Hour Famine with a sleepover at various teachers' homes. We will meet Friday at 7pm @ North Loop. Please let your teachers know asap so that we can arrange housing. Pick-up at NL is on Saturday @ 5pm after our Element Bible Study.

6/27-6/28 44 Days of Vision- World Vision's 30 Hour Famine and SF Food Bank Our first service event is participating in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine. We will begin our fast Friday, 6/27 at 12am and end Sunday, 6/28 at 6am. On Saturday, 6/28, we will be volunteering at: SF food bank 900 Pennsylvania Ave, SF Please let Bessie know how much you have raised so far for 30 Hr Famine. Talk to Bessie if you need a sponsorship packet.

Summer Intramurals IM's have been moved to Friday nights for College and Praxis instead of Sundays as originally planned so we will not be joining them weekly. Instead we will have Fun Friday nights with various skill building activities. More details to come!

The summer retreat is this week! Please turn in your waiver form OR permission slip asap. You cannot attend the retreat without this. If you need another form, please see Theresa. Please arrive at North Loop on 6/20 no later than 2pm. We will be returning to North Loop on 6/24 by 6pm.  If you need financial assistance, please talk to Ben or Elise.

(Parents - you should have received my earlier email with all summer related info, including the retreat. And we sent hard copies home with your students.  If you still need these, please email me. Teachers are working hard to prepare for the retreat.  Please pray for us that it be a wonderful time in God's word, creation and with one another. We'll send a separate email later this week with final numbers of students going. Currently however, we have total of 13 teachers and 5 adults serving as the praise band for the retreat.  We are all looking forward to this time together!)

6/27-6/28 44 Days of Vision, Week1: World Vision's 30 Hour Famine and food bank

Our first service event is participating in World Vision's 30 Hour famine. We will get together on  Fri, 6/27^th at 7pm and sleepover at teachers’ homes.  On Sat, we will be volunteering at a local food bank. Our Saturday program ends at 5pm.  If you have not picked up a World Vision packet, please be sure to pick one up on Sunday after service in the Willard courtyard.

6/10 Summer Evangelism Training (SET)/Prayer Meeting @ 2000 North Loop Starts Tuesday, 6/10 at 7pm. For those who signed up, we highly encourage you to stay for prayer meeting as well (Teachers are unable to provide rides until after prayer meeting). The schedule will be as follows: 6:30-7pm Light Snacks 7-8:40pm SET 8:40-9:40pm Prayer Meeting The total cost for SET is $28, ($10 for registration and $18 for the book, "The Reason for God".) Please give your money to Theresa. You will need to come to the first session having read the first chapter.

6/14 Summer Kick Off @ Harrington Park, Alameda If you are planning to attend, please come by 12pm. The event will be from 3-5:30pm. We’ll have games and BBQ.

6/15 New Sunday Element Program Starting 6/15, we will be utilizing Sunday mornings to serve others in our church and/or build skills that will be helpful to others. Please see the sign up sheets for the various categories in which you can serve. Every one will be participating.
